TAIPEI CITY, TAIWAN - Police are investigating a case of familial
sexual assault after a 17 year old teenager’s parents brought her to
charge her older cousin.
The teenager explained that she spent the night at her cousin’s place. Mr. Zha was 40 years old and already married.
According to the confession Mr. Zha would later make to police, he’d drugged his teenage cousin by putting sleeping pills in her juice. After he made sure his wife was soundly asleep he’d snuck into the guest bedroom and raped his cousin.
It was the girl’s teacher who later noticed that the teenager was unfocused and jumpy, after asking her if she was all right, the teenager confessed to her teacher. The teacher would later call the girl’s parents. Police uncovered that Mr. Zha had recently gone to the local clinic and requested sleeping pills, but hadn’t been taking the medication. They found a nearly full prescription at his house.
Under questioning, Mr. Zha finally confessed to plotting to drug and rape his cousin.
